Position Summary
Under general supervision, assists the Corporate Communications team in developing visual materials that support District-wide communications initiatives. Contributes to the design and production of digital and print publications, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality standards. Projects may include social media graphics, internal campaigns, newsletters, presentations, event materials and customer communications. Provides support as needed for employee and customer events.
Education
• Required - One (1) year of college completed with a study emphasis in graphic design, fine arts, visual communication or a related field. If a recent graduate, must be pursuing post graduate hours.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Testing
• Required - Have and maintain a valid driver’s license Upon Hire
• Required - Pre-employment Background Check & Drug Screen Upon Hire Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Fundamental knowledge of graphic design principles (layout, typography, color theory,
composition)
• Understanding of brand standards and visual identity systems.
• Familiarity with digital and print production processes.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Familiarity with social media content design.
• Basic photography and/or photo editing skills.
• Strong visual communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Ability to translate concepts and messaging into effective visual designs.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and incorporate feedback.
• Efficient written and verbal communication skills, in English, to assist internal and external
customers, co-workers and management professionally, regardless of provocation.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines. (Entry proficiency)
• Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment.
• Initiative and ability to work both independently and under supervision.
• Proficiency with personal computers, tablets, and/or other electronic devices to include
familiarity with, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and enterprise
wide software (e.g., SAP). (Intermediate proficiency)
• Ability to learn new or upgraded computer software as required.
• Efficient written and verbal communication skills, in English, to assist internal and external
customers, co-workers and management professionally, regardless of provocation.
• Occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary.
Essential Functions
• Create materials (design and limited writing) for District communications, including website,
presentations, brochures, digital graphics, signage, social media, etc.
• Provide planning support for employee events, including design, promotion and
execution.
• Provide support to other members of the Corporate Communications and Business Development teams,
as directed.
• Support layout and formatting of internal and external publications.
• Create visual assets that align with established brand standards.
• Provide support for events as needed.
• Various administrative tasks, including but not limited to data entry, mailings, department
inventory, etc.

Physical and Environmental Requirements
• Office: Work is primarily performed in an office setting amid normal conditions of dust, odors, fumes, office lighting and noise.
