Description

The Test Proctor proctors the High School Equivalency test to approved students, while maintaining a positive attitude and an image of friendliness. Tests

include: Math, Writing, Reading, Social Studies and Science. The Test Proctor also communicates results efficiency and accuracy to both the student and

instructor. The Test Proctor is required to maintain a secure testing environment and account for all test materials.

Job Duties

  • Administers and proctors the HiSET to current students. Enters student data and test scores on student registration paperwork
  • Communicates results to the student and instructor after the test score is available on ETS
  • Manages paperwork and documentation of tests. Communicates important information regarding testing detail to test takers. Monitor and account for test materials periodically throughout testing
  • Enroll and pass bi-yearly PBT eLearning and CBT eLearning assessments. Understand the importance of test security issues and safeguarding the test materials at all times
  • Reviews and responds to email inquiries from instructors
  • Attend appropriate examiner meetings 
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required
  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • Some college and prior testing experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check

Physical Demands

  • The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Bending, Crouching, or Kneeling during hands-on lab demonstrations or classroom setup 
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
